Oh be strong now, in my impact tests,

For a while I was messing with things I didn’t
understand,
I used flash exotic materials from labs in foreign lands
I tried lexan™, aramid fibres®, beryllium©
But in the end I returned to the fibre, carbon.
That’s why I’m back to black.
Gimme some of that back to black

For its torsional rigidity I tried aluminium
Its strength-to-lightness ratio meant its use came at a premium
I got lousy data from our top test driver
Results so lame that once again
I’m back to carbon fibre.

Yeah carbon fibre, I’m gonna “lay
up” several layers of cloth
Rotated at 45 degrees to each other until I’ve got a complete
circle of strength.
It’s a composite material, nothing ethereal
just some carbon fibre filaments
Now’s the time to find a rhyme for the resin and other
elements.
My technology's the best used in bullet-proof
vests, and I’ll be the one to beat
With the oxidisation and thermal pyrolosis of a poly acrylo
nitrile
