Welsh Languages Programmes
Born and bred in north Wales and educated through the medium of the Welsh language, Gareth is fluent in his native tongue. His work in the Welsh language includes Clwb Clebran a 40 episode drama series for Welsh learners, and Ar Y Stryd a series which provided a guide to Britain's cities. Gareth also narrated and voiced the characters in Straeon Pentre Twtle, a charming tale starring mice and gerbils for young children, which you can listen to HERE. He also performed a re-occurring role in two series of highly regarded S4C drama, Mwy Na Phapur Newydd Gareth makes regular guest appearances on a number of Welsh programmes such as Heno, i-Dot and Y Byd Ar Bedwar. In 2020 Gareth was the reporter for "Gwilio Ser Y Nos" (Watching the Night Stars) a Welsh language astronomy & space science programme for S4C. In 2021 Gareth starred in, and was also the executive producer of Gareth Jones: Nofio Adre (Swimming Home) 3 x 1 hour documentaries following Gareth's epic challenge to swim across Wales; from south to north. Shown on S4C the series also attracted a record breaking audience for a Welsh-language programme on the BBC iPLAYER.

In 2013 Gareth was invited by Welsh star Caryl Parry-Jones to appear in her hit comedy series on S4C Caryl. Gareth (somewhat surprisingly) returned to the guise of Gaz Top in a string of comedy sketche called Apocalypse Rhyl. Gareth has since been invited to reprise the role in a second series being shot at the end of 2014.
In 2005 Gareth provided both the English and Welsh voice of the narrator for
a permanent audio visual installation Frontiers at the Waterfront
Museum in Swansea.
