The
How2 Presenters
3. A Gail Blew in Glasgow
Loads of female presenters screen-tested
for the role on How2 and the job was eventually given to Gail
Porter. Gail had worked with Gareth when they presented 3 episodes of
Action Forces, a schools' programme made by the How2 production
team. Gail Porter stayed with How for just one series, recorded in September
1999 and broadcast when How2 was moved to a new winter slot
in early 2000.

4.
Another Gail Blows In
Another exhaustive round of screen tests, saw
many would-be How2 presenters have a go, presenter and ex-model
Gail McKenna breezed into an office in London for her screen-test and
blew the team away! Her up-front Scouse cheekiness and and up-for-anything
attitude made it obvious straight away that at last a permanent replacement
for Carol Vorderman had been found. She fitted in nicely, and a new and
lively 3-way relationship between the presenters was quickly established.
The line-up of Fred, Gareth and now Gail would remain together as the
the team around the famous table for the next 5 years.
