Art Attack

Not content with hosting How2, Gareth had a go at another TV institution late last year when he took over from Neil Buchannan to present ITV's hit show Art Attack... well sort of.
When Art Attack's producers needed someone to present a pilot of a new version to be broadcast in Scandinavia, they called on... why, their favourite Welshman, of course.
"I've done a Welsh version for them before, but this time my language skills weren't required" he told us.
The Welsh version hosted by Gareth a few years ago, ultimately lead to Art Attack International, the massive hit on the Disney Channels throughout the world.
"No, it wasn't the first time, I'd worn Neil's shirt and stood in his studio", mused Gareth, "but it was still good fun all the same"
The plan is to broadcast the show in Scandinavia with an off-screen narration in the region's four different languages. According to the producer, Tim Edmunds of The Media Merchants, "For once, Gareth's gift of the gab wasn't
required - for this particular show, we chose him for his skills in the art of mime and his highly expressive face".
Gareth has previously dabbled with art during the six years he hosted ITV science show The Big Bang.
"We took junk and general stuff lying round the house and used it to make models of all kinds of things". He recalled, "The machines we came up with all looked good, but they also did something clever, like move via a home-made clockwork motor"
Nice to know that Gareth himself is not just a pretty... I mean, um, expressive... face.
