How2 Breaks Its Own Records

The original How, hosted by such fondly remembered figures as Jack Hargreaves, Bunty James, and Fred Dinenage ran for 14 years, spanning three decades, from the 1960s to the 1980s. When the show  was revived and brought back as "How2" in the 1990s, little did anyone suspect that its success would be matched. Or that Fred Dinenage would still be found behind the famous How table in 2004..

Sitting alongside Fred, Gareth has presented How2 for 14 consecutive years, with the latest series due to be broadcast on ITV1 very shortly.

As well as 14 series in the studio, Gareth and Fred have also stuck together through several other How2 incarnations -- a few Best Of How programmes, a Comedy Special, a Christmas Special, and a series on location called "How Goes 2". 

In the brand new run, Gareth takes us on a guided tour of the Martian landscape, a planet from which he hopes to be presenting How 2 series 34 in 20  years time, or whenever it is that man is scheduled to actually land on Mars, by which time the series would have left its predecessor for (red) dust.
