Presenters ReUnited: 50 Years Of ITV
ITV1 is enjoying its 50th birthday this year and, as one of the commercial broadcaster’s long-standing presenters, Gareth is involved in a number of celebrations, including a bizarre ‘Presenter’s Reunited’ style show on Saturday 17th September.
It’s all happening during a special edition of Saturday morning show Ministry Of Mayhem, when the presenters from previous ITV Saturday morning shows will turn up to take part in some of the classic antics of days gone by.
Expect to see faces from former shows like Tiswas, Number 73, Motormouth and SM:TV. Plus, of course, Gareth will be there representing not one, but two Saturday morning shows — 1980s zoo TV pioneer “Get Fresh”, and the weekly live show he presented alongside Dannii Minogue in the early 1990s, “It’s Not Just Saturday”.
Gareth says he’s looking forward to the event:
“It sounds like fun — and it’s also kind of fitting that in the year I’m celebrating my own anniversary of 20 years on TV, I’ve been invited back to Saturday morning TV — which is where my presenting career really kicked off in the first place. Mind you, I’ll still make sure I take the opportunity to plug my current programmes - the next series of How2 on ITV1, and A1 GP on Sky Sport - you’ve got to take care of the present and future as well as the past!”

Of Mayhem" (long-awaited, er, since his appearance on BBC1 Saturday morning
show "Dick 'n Dom In Da Bungalow" back in January!). CLICK HERE
