Gareth's great friend Steve Smiley Barnard, the drummer in The Alarm (and many other fine acts such as Archive and Robbie Williams) has written a book called CLANG! in which he drops a few names and recounts superb stories of his many years in the music industry.
There were plans for a launch party for that book, on 17th April 2020 in which Gareth would play a large part in as the MC for the evening and even join Smiley to sing a song with his band at the end of the night (more info here).
Following this event Gareth & Smiley had planned a short UK tour of events a sort of "An Evening With" where Gareth & Smiley take it in turns to interview each other about their respective lives in the entertainment industry...and of course sing a few songs together.
However the coronavirus outbreak has put all these plans on hold for the moment. Just as soon as life in the UKL returns to something resembling “normal” then rest assured Smiley & Gareth will take the show on the road. We’ll let you know right here just as soon as we possibly can.
Until then, stay safe, or more importantly keep those around you safe.
